Originating from France, owned by French Caisse des Dépôts and Tikehau investment, Egis is a leader in engineering, transportation infrastructure projects and mobility services across the world with 1.6Bn€ turnover in 2022.
Egis historical activities in infrastructure projects are around highway/tunnel/bridges concessions and operations & maintenance of these assets. These activities may also include the collection of tolls on these assets.
The idea started in the early 2000’s to expand our services to the final users of these infrastructures, i.e. the road users. Egis started to propose electronic toll services through the provision of a toll tag to customers in the Philippines and in Ireland around 2008-2009. Then we decided to expand into the HGV/road freight transport market. Instead of starting from scratch, we decided to grow in this market by way of acquisitions. Egis bought Transpass BV in 2011 to build a pan European leader in the field of road mobility services to domestic and internal road transport companies. We built this activity under the brand “Easytrip Transport Services”. Since 2011, we grew organically and externally (acquisition of England TIR SpA in 2013 in Italy and 2 acquisitions in the Netherlands in VAT refund business, JW Versluis NV in 2016 and Nebu Transport Services BV in 2022).
Our company backbone is built around 3 main offices, one being our Dordrecht office where we have many essential functions represented (Finance, HR, ICT, Sales and Customer Operations). We have another Dutch office in Uitgeest and 15 other offices across Europe to better serve our customers.
Today, Easytrip Transport Services provides road mobility services to approx. 10k customers and 150 000 trucks across Europe, providing solutions for toll payment across Europe, VAT and Excise duty refund, fuel payment, ferry and train journeys booking, telematics and much more !
