OVHcloud
OVHcloud is a global technology company, headquartered in France. It is the leading European cloud provider and operates over 450,000 servers within 43 data centers across 4 continents to reach 1.6 million customers in over 140 countries.
OVHcloud was established in 1999 by Octave Klaba, and has served the Netherlands for a number of years.
In the early stages of our company development, our strategy has been focused on opening dedicated datacentres to provide large-scale support for organisations. However, with the dawn of new applications which need to provide faster and real-time responses to users, we have updated our strategy to include smaller cloud deployments, called ‘Local Zones’. Last year (May 2024) we were proud to open our first ‘Local Zone’ in Amsterdam, offering low latency cloud computing resources to Dutch organisations and users from a datacentre in the Netherlands.
