OVHcloud

OVHcloud is a global technology company, headquartered in France. It is the leading European cloud provider and operates over 450,000 servers within 43 data centers across 4 continents to reach 1.6 million customers in over 140 countries.
OVHcloud was established in 1999 by Octave Klaba, and has served the Netherlands for a number of years. However, it was only last year (May 2024) that we opened our first ‘Local Zone’ in Amsterdam, offering low latency cloud computing resources to Dutch organisations and users from a datacentre in the Netherlands.
OVHcloud has a vertically integrated model; all servers are built in two facilities in France and Canada. This gives us direct control over components and also enables greater sustainability: servers are disassembled at end-of-life and components which pass rigorous testing are then re-used or re-cycled. Last year, 27% of our server components were re-used.
We use our own form of watercooling in every datacentre we own. Watercooling is more efficient than air-cooling and helps us to reach higher levels of power efficiency, further improving our sustainability approach. We are proud to offer customers the latest-generation solutions combining high performance, predictable pricing, and complete data sovereignty to support their growth.
