Sustainability & Climate 2026 Progress Report | TotalEnergies

March 26, 2026 – TotalEnergies publishes today its Sustainability & Climate – 2026 Progress Report in which the Netherlands brilliantly stand out!
Both in its first growth pillar (Oil & Gas) and its second (Integrated Power), TotalEnergies made huge breakthoughs in its emissions reduction.
Since 2020, operated methane emissions have dropped by 65%, putting TotalEnergies ahead of its goals by 5 points. Moreover, TotalEnergies Nederland came out on top by cutting, on its own, gas use by around 5 million m³ per year and reducing emissions by ~10 kt CO₂e. The Dutch subsidiary also showed its broad innovative potential with the renewable‑powered induction system at Beverwijk lubricants plant and with the electrolyzer in Zeeland.
These results once again highlight the strength of the company’s integrated multi-energy model, validating a strategy that combines energy supply growth, competitiveness, and emissions reduction.
