Maison Champenoise
Maison Champenoise is a French-inspired food concept founded in Amsterdam by Lema and Thomas, two 27-year-old entrepreneurs from Reims, France, the historic capital of the Champagne region. The company officially opened its first shop in July 2025.
Maison Champenoise specializes in artisanal savory puff-pastry pies inspired by the traditional pâté Champenois/Lorrain, a regional specialty from Champagne. The concept reinterprets this classic dish through a modern fast-casual approach, combining traditional craftsmanship, high-quality ingredients, and scalable production methods adapted to the Dutch market.
The brand develops a dual commercial strategy. On the B2C side, it serves the international and expatriate community in Amsterdam through its physical shop, local markets, catering services, and private events. In parallel, Maison Champenoise is actively building a B2B distribution network, supplying its pies to restaurants, cafés, and food platforms such as Bidfood, Oogst, and Crisp, positioning the product within professional and retail channels across the Netherlands.
Today, Maison Champenoise operates from a physical shop in Amsterdam and develops several complementary activities: on-site dining, takeaway sales, participation in local markets, catering services, private events, and convivial Champagne tasting gatherings.
In the long term, Maison Champenoise aims to develop its brand and products beyond the Netherlands, with the ambition to expand across several European countries, while exploring the development of a frozen retail product line for distribution through supermarkets and specialty food retailers.
Through this combined approach, Maison Champenoise seeks to turn a rare French regional specialty into a scalable and recognizable food concept capable of international growth.
