TheSPIE project “Noordzeekanaal” is a performance based maintenance and renovation contract. SPIE is responsible for the maintenance of locks, bridges and pumping stations which play a vital role in the Dutch water transportation system and with keeping the low countries dry.

Activities of SPIE include

• Electrical inspections, maintenance and renovations;
• Mechanical inspections, maintenance and renovations;
• A 24/7 on call corrective maintenance service;
• Asset management advice.

During this site visit, you will discover the locks complex of Schellingwoude as well as 4 locks where SPIE is responsible for the maintenance of all technical installations. You will be also be able to get an impression of the renovation works that SPIE performed here in 2018.
