Conference with former Dutch political leaders | Sanofi & FGS Global
On November 18th, we had the pleasure of gathering our members for an exceptional conference organized in partnership with Sanofi and FGS Global.
On november 18th, we hosted a conference titled "Post-Election Economic Perspectives: Insights from Former Dutch Political Leaders", in a partnership with FGS Global and Sanofi, featuring:
- Jan Peter Balkenende, former Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Senior Advisor at FGS Global;
- Menno Snel, former State Secretary of Finance, Partner at FGS Global;
- Ed Kronenburg, former Secretary-General of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador to France and China, Senior Advisor at FGS Global.
Based on key takeaways from the recent Dutch general elections, our speakers elaborated on the Netherlands’ political outlook and potential future coalition scenarios. They discussed the implications of these elections’ results for the business community and the investment climate in the Netherlands, notably regarding taxation and enterprise policies, sustainability and green industrial policy, as well as defense and strategic priorities for the country.
Highlighting the fact that cooperation shall remain a key component of contemporary politics, they provided a thorough analysis of the state of the relations between the Netherlands and the European Union, but also with long-standing partner France and other trade partners such as the United States or Asia.
