Aperi'Tech - April 9th, 2019
On April 9th, the CCI France Pays-Bas held its first Aperi’Tech 2019 in partnership with ENGIE and ENERGY OBSERVER at NDSM (Nederlandse Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij) shipyard, a rapidly changing district.
During this unique event, more than 80 guests had the opportunity to listen to inspiring speeches and to enjoy a greatly appreciated guided tour on the Energy Observer vessel.
Guido Frenken, COO of ENGIE Energie Nederland gave an insightful speech about the much needed “Energy Transition”. He referred to the importance of hydrogen fuel in achieving a fast decrease of our carbon foot print. ENGIE is actively investing in all kinds of renewable digital customer solutions (e.g. Hydrogen), together with their partners, in order to create a sustainable energy network.
This importance was also confirmed by the inspiring presentation of Louis-Noel Vivies since the Energy Observer is the first hydrogen vessel to go around the world. The story of Energy Observer was a great opportunity to learn more about the different sustainable energy solutions that are used on board. Their mission is to test, inspire and prove that the ecological transition is underway.
Furthermore, Start-up CEO Arjan Heinen pitched on Hedgehog Applications’ solution to contribute to a cleaner world. In order to achieve this goal, Hedgehog Applications enables sustainable efficient and regenerative braking.
Also, Thierry Lamidieu, CEO of Inergys, allowed us to discover a new way to produce electricity with renewable energy: Green Pack 2.7. Thanks to this unique combination of an innovative wind turbine and new generation photovoltaic panels, this French Start-up has already reached many customers in France and is now aiming for a successful expansion into the Dutch market.
Last but not Least, Nicolas du Manoir was happy to announce that French Tech Amsterdam has officially been labelled as part of the French Tech. Under the impulse of its Ambassadors Yann Toutant, and Mylena Pierremont, this community for and with the start-ups aims to develop an ecosystem that offers access to a deep pool of tech talents, funding from enthusiastic investors and incubators offering mentorship and support.
On behalf of all our guests, CCI France Pays-Bas would like to thank ENGIE, Energy Observer and all our speakers for making this evening unforgettable. We hope that the knowledge gained, inspirations and relationships that were made during this Aperi’Tech have developed your ambitions and will bring the Netherlands even further into Energy transition. Because, “the biggest initiatives on energy transition typically come from unexpected encounters!” (Guido Frenken)
